Got this in my email after work today! So they say they are gluten free here:

Givenchy assures that all products are gluten-free. However, Givenchy can not 100% certify that products do not contain some gluten derivatives that may cause allergic reactions.  Please monitor use accordingly.

Unfortunately, they pack peddle a ton and cover their butts.  So I guess you can take it for what you will....

Hourglass Cosmetics- Veil Mineral Primer

Hourglass Cosmetics, Veil Mineral Primer, is a primer which has benefits that are more than meets the eye.  This oil free primer keeps the oils at bay, while also taking out redness, minimizing pores and giving a natural derived SPF 15.

I also like this product for what it's without, aside for being gluten and oil free, it's free of parabens, phthalates, fragrances and sulfates.  Sometimes less is more!

My favorite thing about this product as a makeup lover is that I trust it to keep my makeup on, no matter the weather.  It literally keeps my makeup on rain or shine. This is my most trusted primer on a rainy day as it makes everything I put on top of it virtually waterproof!  Bonus it doesn't make my extremely dry skin worse.

As a makeup artist I completely trust this product on my clients, it's long wear, works on all skin types and the finish is to die for.  Definitely a go to primer for most of my clients.  The only people I would steer away from this products is those who have a deeper skin tone,  the titanium dioxide and zinc  which are the natural sunscreen can leave a cast.  So proceed with caution if you have a deeper complexion.

Givenchy Makeup

Glorious news!!! Word on the street is that Givenchy's makeup line is completely gluten free and paraben free!  I was speaking with a brand representative I know from Givenchy, she informed me that the whole line is gluten free.

Welcome to luxury my gluten free babes.   Some of my favorite products that I've tried over the years are from Givenchy!  I look forward to trying and reviewing every product.

I will diligently search for solid evidence for you, directly from Givenchy.

The Living Proof, Perfect Hair Day, line is gluten free!  This is wonderful news as it is my favorite by far of all the Living Proof products I've tried over the years.  I sent the company and email regarding if the brand was gluten free, and they promptly got back to me; here is what they said: 

"Thank you for contacting us here at Living Proof, we really appreciate it! The PHD Line’s formulas do not contain ingredients derived from gluten! However the other lines’ shampoos and conditioners (Full, No Frizz, and Restore) do contain hydrolyzed wheat protein in their formula meaning they are not gluten free."

The PHD line claims to give you the "perfect hair day", it will smooth, give volume, condition, give strength and polish you hair.  I say they live up to these claims very well!  It's hard for me to judge something that is supposed to give volume in hair because I'm notorious for having big hair no matter what products I am using.  But I was definitely impressed when I let my hair air dry! My hair is a bit curly so it can get extremely frizzy, instead I was left with smooth pretty curls.  Usually I touch up my hair with a curling iron when I let it go natural, but there was a no need! When I blew my hair out, it was easy to style and remained smooth and silky.

The line also claims to reduce breakage by 78% on their website. I hope this true, I love coloring my hair, bright white and pink!  I've only been using this product a short time so I'm looking forward to reviewing again after I've finish my first bottle. So far I have no complaints about this product!

Tarte- EmphasEYES brow

Tarte's, EmphasEYES brow, is one of my favorite brow products on the market.  It's retractable pencil style is easy enough for novice to use but performs well enough for a professional.  This product is super wearable because the amazonian clay in the pencil helps neutralize oils around the brow, never smudge and keep the pigments in place from day to night.  

Part of the reason I love this brow product is that it's free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates and triclosans, but for myself I am obsessed with the color of Taupe.  To me is perfect for all blondes, which is usually a challenge to not be to light, dark, reddish or ashy.  Unfortunately there are only 3 colors in total,  I wish there were a few more colors so everyone could enjoy this product as much as me.

Josie Maran Cosmetics

Straight off of the Josie Maran website The "Argan Moisture Stick, the Mini Argan Moisture Stick, and the Argan Color Sticks in Rosey and Petal Pink all contain wheat germ oil. Studies have proven inconclusive as to whether or not wheat germ oil contains gluten, but we believe it's safer to err on the side of caution for those with gluten sensitivity.

None of our other products are formulated with ingredients that contain gluten. Our cosmetics are made following good manufacturing practices; however, they may be produced or stored near gluten containing ingredients."

Josie Maran Cosmetics, say that they are "Luxury with a Conscious" and I full agree with this statement.  Even though the brand is natural, organic and eco-friendly, all the products are high performing.  The textures are always soft and smooth, the complexion products glide on and feel like a second skin.  I look forward to reviewing products individually especially their new product Pure Argan Milk Intensive Hydrating Treatement.

Bite Beauty

Straight off  BITE's blog "BITE has always been gluten-free, but we wanted to be 100% certified before we made an announcement. It has been a long process, but now we can say that we are officially compliant with the US FDA and Health Canada regulations as gluten-free! All of our raw materials have been certified, so now all the gluten-intolerant may lick their lips away."  

BITE's line of lip products are natural and organic, but extremely high performance.  Reviews on individual products to come.

Hidden Gluten

When you look at an ingredient list on labels on cosmetics or skin care products you'll notice that it's never just as simple as looking for "gluten", and it can turn into an extremely overwhelming task.  Sometimes we are lucky, and on the packaging the gluten free symbol will be on the package, sadly this is often not the case.

Below are some hidden way gluten can be listed as FDA approved names, there may be other ways as well.  It is also extremely important to remember that just because something is gluten free now, doesn't mean 6 months it will be, beware of reformulations of products.  Keep yourself up to date, and when in doubt contact the company with your questions, knowledge is your power.

Tarte Cosmetics

All of the products from Tarte Cosmetics are gluten free, as well as free of parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan and sodium lauryl sulfate.

I always knew that the brand was full of gluten free products, but after reviewing their website it confirmed that ALL of their products are gluten free.  There are so many products that I love from this brand which I will review;  I just couldn't hold back the glorious news that Tarte is completely gluten free!

Hourglass Cosmetics- Illusion Tinted Moisturizer.

Hourglass Cosmetics, Illusion Tinted Moisturizer, is a wonderful alternative for foundation.  Not only does this product leave your skin looking radiant with its oil free formula, but it also gives sheer to moderate coverage.  

Another great reason fall in love with Illusion aside from being gluten free, paraben free, phthalate free, sulfates free and fragrance free; but it's full of skincare benefits.  Instalift®  which lives up to its name by visibly firming the skin, Hyaluronic Filling Spheres™ to help of wrinkles disappear as well as keeping the skin hydrates, and last but not least the SPF 15.  

As far as wear ability goes I find this product is versatile for all seasons.  In the cold winter the extra boost of moisture is perfect for all skin types, in the hot humid summer the oil free and light formula make it great for normal to extremely dry skin. 

You could apply this product with your hands, but I prefer to use Sephora Collection Pro Airbrush #55 to achieve that perfect flawless finish.  

The only flaw I find with this product is that there are only 6 shades available!
